Oh Deer

I just love the adorable deer image from Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods stamp set, so I made it the focal image on my card for the current Lawnscaping challenge to use patterned paper.  The card's layout is based on the current Deconstructed Sketch.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut the image with the matching Into the Woods dies. Since the challenge is all about patterned paper, I used several different patterns from the Into the Woods paper pad on the rest of my card. The die cut deer is set on a cloud patterned panel using dimensional dots. I used a grass border punch on a piece of patterned paper with green diagonal stripes and stamped the set's "oh deer" sentiment on that in black ink.  It's tucked underneath the deer's feet.

I used two more coordinating patterned papers to cover most of the green card front.  After setting the image panel in place, I added a pair of fishtail flag strips made from cardstock scraps at the right edge of the panel.  They're topped with a green button tied with a little green baker's twine.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Into the Woods stamp set, Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad, and Into the Woods dies, Crafter’s Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Spectrum Noir markers (TN3, TN5, TN6, TN7, CR3), Divine Twine green baker's twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Grass border punch (Fiskars); Sour Apple button (My Favorite Things)
