You and Me

Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I used the same stamp set, but with a different sentiment, and the same layout, but with a different orientation to create my own love themed design.

Designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink
I used Papertrey Ink’s Grand Ampersand set and matching dies to create the “you and me” sentiment in the lower right corner of the white panel. Instead of keeping the ampersand plain white, I stamped a heart image directly on top of it, then used foam tape to adhere the ampersand to the panel.

I attached a strip of heart patterned washi tape beneath the sentiment. A narrow red cardstock strip separates the washi tape from the rest of the panel. For a little sparkle, I scattered a trio of sequins around the sentiment.  I matted the panel on red cardstock, then set it on an aqua card base to tie all the colors together.

Materials Used:
Grand Ampersand stamp set, Aqua Mist cardstock, and Ampersand dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Luxe Love Letter ink (Tsukineko); Real Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); washi tape (Love My Tapes); red sequins (Michaels); foam tape

  1. I love that trick of stamping on the die and underneath - it adds so much interest! Great to see you at Muse this week, Lori!

  2. Great card, love the colour combo and the technique of stamping on the die, above the base stamping. I really must get some sequins in my stash, these look great :)
