You Rule

Here's a simple teacher themed card for the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I used Lawn Fawn's A Good Apple stamp set and some washi tape to put this one together.

Designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I stamped the set's "you rule" sentiment in white pigment ink on a gray cardstock strip and heat embossed it with white embossing powder for a nice pop.  The sentiment strip is set over a kraft fishtail flag strip adhered to a piece of red dotted patterned paper.  To go with my school/ruler theme, I ran a strip of ruler patterned washi tape down the right side of the fishtail flag strip before layering it on the card--it's hard to see the ruler markings in the photo, but I promise they're there!  I anchored the sentiment strip with the set's apple image that I stamped on a scrap of white cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersLawn Fawn A Good Apple stamp set, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks, Spectrum Noir markers (CR2, CR7, CR8, CR10, GB4, CG3, CG4), Fancy Pants Happy-Go-Lucky 6x6 paper pad, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); ruler washi tape, Snow embossing powder (Michaels)
