Love U

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. There’s not a single stamped image on this one—I mixed and matched a bunch of die cut pieces to assemble this love themed design.

Love U-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I used the “love” die from the Accent It-Celebrate set to cut the word into a pale pink panel. So that the word would stand out, I matted the die cut panel on a piece of red cardstock just a tiny bit larger than the die cut piece. I used my Silhouette cutter to cut a large letter “U” to fill in the panel. The U is cut from red and kraft cardstock and layered with the pieces offset to add interest.  A small pink tab, cut with one of the dies from the Mini Tabs Foursome set, is machine stitched to the top right side of the panel. I topped it with a small dark pink heart die cut with the smallest heart from the Hearts a Plenty set.

The sentiment panel is adhered to a kraft panel along with a pink scallop edged strip. I attached the finished panel to an easy to write on pale pink card base.

Materials Used:
Electric Red cardstock, Die-namics Accent It-Celebrate, Mini Tabs Foursome, and Hearts a Plenty dies (My Favorite Things); Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); medium scallop die (Papertrey Ink); Silhouette cutting machine; sewing machine; foam tape
