May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Here's my card for this month's Sketch for You to Try.  I went seasonal and made a card using the Reverse Confetti Bring on the Merry stamp set.

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti
I combined three of the set's phrase images to come up with "may your days be merry and bright."  To add interest, I stamped the top and bottom phrases in red ink and the middle in green on a strip of green cardstock that I adhered between the two stamped lines.

After matting the stamped panel on red cardstock, I adhered it on an angle to a kraft panel with strips of festive red and green patterned papers.  I used a trio of different sized die cut silver stars to represent the sketch's circle elements.  The largest star (at the bottom of the sentiment panel) is adhered with dimensional dots.  That let me tuck the end of a clear crystal flourish underneath it to add a little more sparkle to the design.

Materials Used:
Bring on the Merry stamp set (Reverse Confetti); Memento Luxe Love Letter and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko), Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Simply Chartreuse and Limeade Ice cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); silver paper (Target);  Pinwheel 6x6 paper pad (Lily Bee Design);  Here and Now 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); star dies (Lil' Inker Designs); clear crystal flourish (Michaels); foam tape
