Peaceful Wishes

Here’s my card for December’s second Viva la Verve sketch challenge. I created a wintery design in cool shades of blue.

Peaceful Wishes-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
I used a white paper doily as the base for the round panel at the center of the card. The doily’s center is filled in with pieces of two different patterned papers. The seam between the two papers is hidden by a strip of light blue felt ric rac. I die cut a pretty snowflake from silver paper and used foam tape to add the flake to the round panel at the end of the ric rac strip.

The dressed up doily is adhered to a light blue panel. Once it was in place, I topped it with a long double ended banner strip stamped with the “peaceful wishes” sentiment from Verve’s Glad Tidings stamp set.

Materials Used:
Glad Tidings stamp set (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko); Bashful Blue and Brocade Blue cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Sterling Silver cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Recollections Blue Pinstripe and Blue Pindots designer papers, clear crystal (Michaels); CutUps Snowflake die (The Cat’s Pajamas); blue felt ric rac (Offray); white paper doily; foam tape
