Reach for the Stars

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I thought long and hard before finally coming up with the idea to use star elements instead of snowflakes for the sketch.

Reach for the Stars-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnMy stars are cut with stitched star dies from Lil' Inker Designs.  The gold paper gives them a nice sparkle.  I used foam tape to adhere the stars to a gray panel along with a strip of colorfully striped patterned paper.  The paper's edged with a strip of gold paper to tie it together with the stars.  I found a bronze flourish in my stash and adhered it to the panel extending out from underneath the larger star.

The "reach for the stars" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Lucky Stars stamp set is stamped at the bottom of the card in gold ink.  I heat embossed it for extra emphasis. The finished panel is adhered to a red card base to match the two narrow strips along the bottom of the gray panel.

Materials Used:
Lucky Stars stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Delicata Gold ink (Tsukineko); gold embossing powder (Ranger); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Fog cardstock (Avery Elle); gold paper (Target); School Daze 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); stitched star dies (Lil' Inker Designs); crystal flourish (Prima); foam tape
