Hiya, Honey

Here’s my card for the current Deconstructed Sketch. I combined an image from one set with a sentiment from another to come up with this one.

Hiya Honey-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's PajamasThe bear image is from the Show Me the Magic set from The Cat’s Pajamas. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out, then used foam tape to attach it to a pair of layered round panels. The round panels are adhered to a pink panel on top of a pair of coordinating patterned paper panels. The rounded edges on opposite corners of the panel are a really nice detail—and one I would not have tried without this sketch! I matted the panel on red cardstock, then attached it to a kraft card base.

The “hiya, honey” sentiment from the Honey Bear set was stamped in red ink on a banner strip cut with the CutUps Easy Rosette die. I tucked it in place just beneath the bear.  To add a little sparkle, I cut apart a crystal flourish and added it to the card, extending out from the top of the bear's honey pot.

Materials Used:
Show Me the Magic and Honey Bear stamp sets, CutUps Easy Rosette die (The Cat’s Pajamas); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Love Letter inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bubblegum cardstock (My Favorite Things); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Lucky in Love 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); clear crystal (Michaels); corner rounder; foam tape
