Sew Much

Here’s my card for this week’s sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. I created a love themed card using the Needle Little Love stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Sew Much-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
For the sketch’s pair of elements, I stamped and colored the spool of thread image twice. After cutting out the spools, I played around with the arrangement a bit before settling on what you see here. The spools are accented with a pink button, tied with some white twine.

The sentiment is stamped above the spools using black ink. The stamp is actually a block of text and not a line of text like you see here. It’s super easy to use a clear stamp and selectively mask off words so you can stamp just what you want where you want it! Once I was done stamping, I went back with my pink marker and filled in the open heart in the sentiment to match the images. I layered the finished panel on a matching pink card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Needle Little Love stamp set, Crafter’s Companion white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Hemptique white twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Bubblegum cardstock, Cotton Candy button (My Favorite Things); markers (Copic)
