Thanks, Chickie

Here’s my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. I used the Waltzingmouse Stamps Funky Feathers and some trendy gold accents to put this one together.

Thanks Chickie-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps
I stamped two of the set’s feather images in pink ink on cream cardstock and carefully cut them out. They are arranged on the edge of a cream panel using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the set’s “thanks chickie” sentiment at the top of the panel using gold ink, then heat embossed it in gold so it would really stand out.

The finished panel was layered on a pink mat, then adhered to a piece of kraft and pink chevron patterned paper along with a shimmery gold paper strip. To bring in even more gold accents, I added a trio of sequins on the cream panel. A pink button, tied with matching pink baker’s twine, adhered over the top of the feathers finishes the design.

Materials Used:
Funky Feathers stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Pink Lemonade ink, Pink Lemonade button (My Favorite Things); Delicata Gold ink (Tsukineko); Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla cardstock, Curly Label punch (Stampin’ Up!); gold paper (Target); patterned paper (Studio Calico kit); gold embossing powder (Michaels); pink baker’s twine (Divine Twine); foam tape
