With Love

Here's my card for the current Waltzingmouse Fanatics color challenge.  I picked a few of the colors to include in my card instead of the whole 6 color palette. The result was this pretty love themed design.

With Love-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse StampsI started out with a creamy tan panel with machine stitched edges. A half of a paper doily, left over from another project, was adhered to the left edge of the panel.  I stamped a pair of hearts from the Waltzingmouse Stamps My Heart stamp set on white cardstock using coral and kraft inks, then cut them out.  They're layered and attached over the doily.  I love the woodgrain pattern on these hearts!

For the sentiment, I stamped the elegant "with love" sentiment from the Cameo to Go set in black pigment ink on a white fishtail flag strip and tucked it underneath the heart pair.  A trio of white sequins adds a little sparkle.  I think I spent more time playing around with the positioning of these three tiny sequins than I did putting together the rest of this card!

Be sure to check back here later on today for the winner of my Season's Givings blog candy . . .

Materials Used:
My Heart and Cameo to Go stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Coral Necklace ink (Clear and Simple Stamps); Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch and Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko); Fine Linen cardstock (Papertrey Ink); white cardstock (Michaels); white sequins (Avery Elle); white paper doily; sewing machine; foam tape

  4. I laughed out loud when I read that the placement of the sequins took longer than the rest of the card (quite perfect, I do believe). This card is pretty much perfection. Simple, interesting, elegant. Lovely job!
