All You Need Is Love

Here’s my card for the current monochromatic pink challenge at The Card Concept. I hope my little bit of neutral gray doesn’t go too far out of the challenge limits! I used this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches as the basis for my clean and layered design.

All You Need Is Love-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker DesignsI started off by covering a card base with a piece of heart patterned paper. I cut a piece of soft pink cardstock on an angle and added that to the top of the card with foam tape for dimension. Once the pink panel was in place, I topped it with a die cut heart and a gray fishtail flag strip. The “all you need is love” sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Of the Heart stamp set is stamped on the panel in pigment ink. I accented the strip and heart with a tiny pink button, threaded with a bit of twine.

Materials Used:
Of the Heart stamp set, stitched heart die (Lil’ Inker Designs); Insulation Pink cardstock, Fishtail Flag Layers Stax die, and Bubblegum button (My Favorite Things); Fog cardstock (Avery Elle); Blushing Bride cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Paper Heart-Cupid designer paper (Crate Paper); twine (Hemptique); foam tape
