Love You a Latte

Here’s my card for this month’s Sketch for You to Try. I made a love themed card using Reverse Confetti’s Be a Barista stamp set.

Love You a Latte-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I stamped the set’s mug image on white cardstock and filled in the open space with the set’s solid latte image using kraft colored pigment ink. After coloring the mug with Copic markers, I cut it out and used foam tape to adhere it to a tag die cut. The “love you a” sentiment is stamped above the mug in black ink. I filled in the tag with a pair of die cut hearts, cut with Reverse Confetti’s Love Note dies, and a piece of pink knotted ribbon set at the top of the tag.

I adhered the tag to a pale pink stitched edge panel. It’s layered over a piece of patterned paper full of fun multicolored arrows. A strip of dark pink cardstock is tucked underneath the tag near the center of the cardfront and breaks up the pattern just a bit. I scattered a trio of pink sequins around the tag to add a little sparkle to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Be a Barista stamp set and Confetti Cuts Tag Me and Love Note dies (Reverse Confetti); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo cardstock, Melon Mambo dotted grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); Wonderful Day 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); stitched rectangle die (Lil’ Inker Designs); pink sequins (Treehouse Studio); foam tape
