You Are My Anchor

Here's my project for the current Waltzingmouse Fanatics "for the boys" themed challenge.  I used this week's sketch from Retro Sketches as the basis for this nautical themed tag.

You Are My Anchor-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps
I started off with a die cut kraft tag, inked along the edges with some distress ink.  Instead of using a paper layer, I stamped the circular rope image from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Ocean Bound set on the tag in kraft pigment ink. then added the "you are my anchor" sentiment over it, again opting for a stamped layer instead of a paper one.  I ran a strip of grid washi tape beneath the sentiment, ripping the left edge to add interest.

I stamped the anchor image from the Ocean Bound set in navy pigment ink and carefully cut it out.  It's adhered to the tag with foam tape.  I accented it with a trio of brown enamel dots.  The tag is finished off with a bit of red twill at the top, secured with a twine bow.

Materials Used:
Ocean Bound stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch, Love Letter, Nautical Blue, and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Die-namics Traditional Tags Stax die (My Favorite Things); Pure Poppy twill (Papertrey Ink); red grid tape (Love My Tapes); twine (Lawn Fawn); enamel dots (Prima); foam tape
