Hello Deer

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is an anything goes challenge. I used the Happy Camper set and the current sketch from Retro Sketches to put together this sweet design with a springtime color scheme.

Hello Deer-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
The set’s deer is my focal image. I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out, then adhered it to a white fishtail flag panel with dimensional dots. The panel is backed with a piece of green dotted paper with a decorative scalloped edge, then layered on a wider light blue fishtail flag panel. I set the stacked panels on a piece of pink cardstock with a strip of multicolored chevron patterned paper along the left edge. A trio of green enamel dots was arranged near the top of the stacked panels as an accent.

The “hello deer” sentiment, a combination of words from the Happy Camper and Chit Chat sets, was stamped in the bottom right corner of the pink panel. I matted the panel on light blue cardstock, then adhered it to a white card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Happy Camper and Chit Chat stamp sets; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock; Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad; Studio Calico green enamel dots; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Lake House cardstock (WPlus9); markers (Copic); scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things)
