Seize the Sketch 15-You're My Shining Star

It's time for a new sketch from Seize the Sketch!  This week's sketch comes to us from Cathy.

Shining Star-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple StampsMy card's a pretty literal interpretation of the sketch, star and all!  But, when I saw the star, the "you're my shining star" sentiment from the Clear and Simple Stamps Rag Doll Mia:  Star set immediately came to mind, so I ran with it.  The sentiment is heat embossed in gold on the round panel.  I layered it over a golden yellow panel matted with a piece of sparkly gold cardstock, then set it on the card front.  In keeping with my theme, the cardfront was covered with a piece of pink star patterned paper and edged with a strip of contrasting yellow chevron patterned paper.

I die cut a Favor Flag strip to go underneath the sentiment.  Once it was in place, I added a die cut gold star to the sentiment panel using foam tape.  A few gold sequins add a final sparkly touch to the card.

Don’t miss what the rest of the talented STS team has created using this week’s sketch. Here’s where to find them:
