Color Throwdown 289-Hello Friend

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Monika is our hostess this week and she's selected a beautiful combination inspired by a vibrant butterfly--Perfect Plum, Blushing Bride, and Wild Wasabi.
Hello Friend-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from WPlus9
My card uses the new Spring Blooms set from WPlus9 along with a somewhat stretched out variation on the current sketch at Retro Sketches.  I die cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock, then stamped the matching images on the cardstock pieces using inks that match the challenge colors.  The flowers are arranged on the lower right corner of a white cardstock panel.  The smallest flower is adhered with a dimensional dot to add interest to the cluster.

I stamped the "hello friend" sentiment from the Hand Lettered Hello set next to the flowers in plum ink.  The image and sentiment are accented with a plum tab and a piece of knotted frilly pink ribbon, plus a trio of sparkly white sequins.

I matted the stamped panel on a contrasting piece of green cardstock.  It's layered on an angle over a piece of pink patterned paper adhered to a white card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just make sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD289. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our April guestie, Jeanne Jachna, and this week's Guest Star Stamper Anita .
