Party Time

Here's my card for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge.  I was inspired by the photo's colorful and festive banners.  I used a mix of fun patterned papers and this week's sketch from Retro Sketches to put together this card.

Party Time-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
The papers all come from a Doodlebug Designs paper pad.  I purposely selected different colors and patterns for contrast and interest.  The angled paper pieces were adhered to a white card base.

I wrapped some pretty twine around the card along the top of the banner pieces, adding a decorative bow at one side.  The "party time" sentiment from the Birthday Sampler set was stamped just above the twine in orchid ink.  I finished the card with a bunch of brightly colored enamel dots in colors that coordinate with the patterned papers.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Birthday Sampler stamp set, Avery Elle Orchid ink, Doodlebug Design Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad, Hemptique Spring Bloom 2 hemp twine, My Mind's Eye Now and Then-Dorothy enamel dots

other:  white cardstock (Michaels)
