Come Rain or Shine

Here's my card for this week's sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I used a few die cut elements to put together this encouraging design.

Come Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I die cut an umbrella using a die from My Favorite Things, using a cheerful yellow cardstock for a nice pop against the blue background.  The top layer of the umbrella was embossed with a tiny dot pattern to add interest and texture.

After adhering the assembled umbrella to the blue panel, I added a white flat-bottom felt cloud on top, then a trio of silver sequin "raindrops" along the umbrella's right side.  The "I'll be here rain or shine" sentiment from the Blue Skies Ahead set was stamped at the bottom of the panel in gray pigment ink.  I adhered the finished panel to a yellow card base for a final pop of cheery color.

Materials Used:
Blue Skies Ahead stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Flat-Bottom Clouds and Umbrella dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink (Tsukineko); Lake House cardstock (WPlus9); Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Swiss Dot embossing powder (Cuttlebug); white felt, silver sequins (Michaels)
