Daisy Trio Birthday

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I gave my new Gerbera Daisy dies a workout for the trio of elements across the cardfront.

Daisy Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I went with a neutral color palette on my design, starting with a piece of kraft paper stamped with the Wood Plank Background stamp in kraft ink. I adhered a cream pierced rectangle die cut panel over the stamped kraft panel, then topped it with a dark brown fishtail flag strip. After die cutting a trio of flowers with the Gerbera Daisy dies, I arranged them across the brown strip. I love how the pierced detailing on the flower centers matches the pierced edge of the sentiment panel! I used my finger to curl the petals a bit for dimension. The birthday sentiment from the Pretty Poppies set was stamped beneath the row of flowers in brown pigment ink to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Pretty Poppies and Wood Plank Background stamp sets, Chocolate cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Square Stax, Gerbera Daisy, and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); cream cardstock (Michaels); Barely Banana cardstock (Stampin’ Up!)
