Hello Deer

Here’s another take on the current sketch and pops of color at Poppy Sketches. This sketch is being sponsored by Lawn Fawn, so be sure to play along for a chance to win a Lawn Fawn stamp set and 6x6 paper pad.

Hello Deer card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods set. I represented the sketch’s criss-crossed elements with a pair of curvy topped layered green panels, making a grassy backdrop for the sweet deer from the stamp set. The deer is adhered over the grass using foam tape. It doesn't show in the photo, but I covered the deer's tail with white flock to give it a fluffy, fur-like texture.

I stamped the “hello” speech bubble in purple ink and die cut it with the matching die, then adhered it above the deer using foam tape. I finished the design with a strip of purple patterned paper adhered along the left edge of the cardfront.

Materials Used:
Into the Woods stamp set, Into the Woods dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Grape Jelly and Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Green Acres cardstock (WPlus9); Soup Staples designer paper (Jillibean Soup); Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape
