Keep on Shining

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I combined the bold yellow and black color scheme from the inspiration photo with the sketch for my card.

Keep on Shining card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Simon Says Stamp
I used the light bulb image from the Simon Says Stamp Watts Up set for my focal image.  The solid bulb image was stamped first using distress ink spritzed with water.  For some sparkle, I brushed a little iridescent medium I found at the craft store over the stamp and used that to add a shimmery layer to the image.  Once the bulb image dried, I stamped the outline image over it,then added the red heart at the center.  The set's "keep on shining" sentiment was stamped above the bulb in black pigment ink.

I kept the rest of the card simple, using a piece of star patterned paper from a Halloween paper collection to cover most of the yellow card base.  I adhered the image panel over a pair of layered black and yellow cardstock panels, then tucked a trio of fishtail flag strips underneath the bottom edge of the image panel. A few clear sequins add a final sparkly touch to the card.

Materials Used:
Watts Up stamp set (Simon Says Stamp); Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Mustard Seed and Festive Berries distress inks (Ranger); Lemon Drop cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Oval Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Halloween Parade-Weird Science designer paper (Doodlebug Design); sparkling clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
