Let Your Dreams Soar

I'm joining in on my friend Lesley's latest sketch challenge using some fun stamps and dies from The Cat's Pajamas.  TCP recently released cut files to match some of the newest TCP sets and I tried out the files for the first time on this card.

Let Your Dreams Soar card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from The Cat's PajamasI used the Hang in There Baby stamp set and matching cut file here.  It was so easy to cut the shape with my Silhouette--I actually cut a whole stack of the same shape so I'll have a bunch ready for the next time I use this stamp set!  You can find all of the available Cutables files here.  The sock monkey image was colored with Copic markers, then adhered to the dotted panel using foam tape.

I matted the panel on a coordinating peach mat, then adhered it to a kraft panel.  I embossed a green cardstock strip with a dotted pattern using the TCP CutUps Dots die, then added the strip along the bottom of the patterned paper panel. The sentiment was stamped on a white circle, then matted with an aqua circle and adhered to the panel.  Instead of another round element, I die cut a cloud from white felt using the CutUps Talk to Me dies and adhered the cloud at the bottom of the sentiment panel.  The finished panel was adhered to a green card base, matching the dot embossed strip across the front of the card.  So sweet!

Materials Used:
Hang in There Baby stamp set and Cutables Hang in There Baby cut file, CutUps Dots and Talk to Me dies (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Spring Moss, Melon Berry, and Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Nostalgia 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); circle punches (EK Success); white felt; foam tape
