Pajama Party at the Curtain Call Challenge

The Cat's Pajamas is sponsoring the latest Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  Here's my card for the challenge's pajama party theme.

I took my inspiration from the bold blue chevron pattern in the photo collage along with the traditional red movie popcorn boxes. Those red popcorn boxes led me to the movie ticket themed Admit One stamp set and the coordinating CutUps Big Ticket die.

I die cut a ticket strip from red cardstock, then stamped several images from the Admit One set on the die cut tickets to fill them in.  The ticket strip was adhered to a piece of blue chevron patterned paper set on a navy blue card base.  I purposely cut the card base a little narrower than a standard A2 sized card so that the ticket strip could extend just a bit over each side of the cardfront while still allowing it to fit inside a regular envelope.

To dress up the ticket strip, I tucked a yellow piece die cut with the Star Rosette die underneath its top edge.  Then I die cut a bunch of stars from gold glitter cardstock using the CutUps 3x3 Stars dies.  I arranged a bunch of the stars along the right edge of the card, scattering a few matching gold sequins around them for an even more festive look.  Bold, bright, and graphic--just like the inspiration photo!

Materials Used:
Admit One stamp set, CutUps Big Ticket, Star Rosette, and 3x3 Stars dies (The Cat's Pajamas); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Real Red, Night of Navy, and Yoyo Yellow cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Salt Staples II-Navy Salt designer paper (Jillibean Soup); gold glitter cardstock, gold sequins (Michaels)
