Birthday Wishes

Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I took my inspiration from Marion’s card’s birthday theme and color scheme as well as the placement of the image extending out from the edge of a white panel.

Birthday Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Papertrey Ink
I used two different streamer images from Papertrey Ink’s Birthday Wishes set on my card. They’re stamped at the upper edge of a white panel in mint and aqua pigment inks. The “birthday wishes” sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel. I filled in the white space with some mint and clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. After edging the panel with narrow strips of mint cardstock, I adhered it to a teal card base.

Materials Used:
Birthday Wishes stamp set, Tropical Teal cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Mint to Be and Aquamarine inks (Avery Elle); Spearmint cardstock (My Favorite Things); Fresh Mint and Sparkling Clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)

  2. I love how you turned the card to make banners from the 'ceiling'! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Lori!
