Dad, Here's to You

Here’s my card for the current AEI♥U masculine card challenge. I used Avery Elle’s The Man stamp set along with some AE dies to put my masculine design together.

Dad, Here's to You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Avery Elle
I paired two of the set’s sentiments and stamped them on a die cut kraft tag in navy blue ink. After looping some twine through the hole in the tag, I adhered it to a piece of paper with a trendy and masculine repeating triangle pattern. To break up the pattern a bit, I tucked some narrow strips of navy cardstock underneath the tag, placing them unevenly to add interest. I also used the large rounded arrow from the Aim High dies to cut a navy arrow that I placed to draw attention to the sentiment. A trio of white enamel dots finished the card. They’re a great way to add embellishment to a masculine design!

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Avery Elle The Man stamp set and Simply Tags and Aim High dies; Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink; Pink Paislee Pen Pals 6x6 paper pad; Hemptique natural twine; Doodlebug Design Lily White Sprinkles enamel dots

Other: Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah)
