Seize the Sketch #22-You Are My Anchor

***Scroll down to the post below or click HERE to see my post for today's Sneaky Peek from The Cat's Pajamas! ***

It’s time for a new sketch at Seize the Sketch! The new sketch was designed by me, so I hope you’ll play along and share your interpretation of the layout.

You Are My Anchor card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse StampsI created a masculine design using stamps from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Ocean Bound set. I stamped the round rope image at the right side of the panel, positioning it so that only part of the image was stamped on the cream panel. The “you are my anchor” sentiment was stamped on the panel in navy blue ink, overlapping the rope image. I made sure to stamp using pigment inks so that I could layer the images. I die cut an anchor from gray cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it to the panel inside of the rope image.

The anchor image was adhered to the bottom of a piece of star patterned paper. I adhered the panels to a piece of navy cardstock, then wrapped the panel with a strip of cream twill, securing it with a simple knot.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the STS team created using the sketch. Here’s where to find them:
