Thanks for the Lift

Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS anything goes challenge. I used the Sunny Side Up set along with the current sketch from Retro Sketches to put this one together.

Thanks for the Lift card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
I used two different patterned papers from a Pebbles paper pad for the panels on the golden yellow cardfront. The floral paper and a coordinating teal cardstock strip were adhered first, then topped with a scrap of red textured cardstock that’s been floating around on my table for way too long. The blue dotted panel on top serves as a nice sky-like background for the kite image. I added a twine string to the kite before adhering it to the panel with foam tape.  A teeny tiny glue dot holds the looped string securely in place.

A white felt cloud, cut with the cloud from the Spectrum Icons die set and tucked underneath the kite, fills out the panel. The “thanks for the lift” sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in black ink. I added a few teal enamel dots around the panel as an accent.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Sunny Side Up stamp set and Spectrum Icons dies; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink; Pebbles Walnut Grove 6x6 paper pad; Hemptique white twine; My Mind's Eye Necessities teal enamel dots; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Tropical Teal and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); white felt (Michaels); corner rounder
