You Nailed It

This week’s blogger challenge theme is to make a masculine card. I used this week’s Mojo Monday sketch to put together this congratulatory card using stamps and dies from My Favorite Things.

You Nailed It card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I stamped the “you nailed it” sentiment from the Let’s Tool Around set in brown ink on a kraft panel. After rounding one of the top corners, I set it on a kraft card base covered with a piece of orange star patterned paper edged with a strip of dark brown cardstock. I added a shiny silver fishtail flag strip along the bottom of the sentiment panel.

To go with the sentiment, I used the Tool Time dies to create a hammer from several different scraps of paper. It’s attached to a circle die cut using foam tape and adhered at the end of the fishtail flag strip. A trio of brown enamel dots added a little more dimension to the design--I wish I had shiny silver ones that would look like nail heads!

Materials Used:
Let’s Tool Around stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Tool Time and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Dark Chocolate cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); silver paper (Target); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Halloween-Full Moon designer paper (American Crafts); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko); circle die (Spellbinders); brown enamel dots (Prima); corner rounder; foam tape
