Color Throwdown 299-Celebrate

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Tammy is our hostess this week and she’s chosen this festive color palette that's perfect for the upcoming July 4th holiday—Strawberry Slush, Tempting Turquoise, and Very Vanilla.  I couldn't resist going with a patriotic style design, using the colors along with the current Deconstructed Sketch.

Celebrate card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
As promised earlier this week, those fabulous new Radiant Neon inks from Imagine Crafts make another appearance here.  I stamped the "celebrate" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Spot On set in Electric Coral ink on a cream panel.  It's matted on turquoise cardstock, then adhered to a debossed dotted panel in the middle of a piece of turquoise patterned paper.

Once the panels were in place, I clustered a bunch of stitched star die cuts around the right side of the sentiment using foam tape.  I cut apart some clear crystal flourishes and tucked those underneath the stars as an accent.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD299.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our new July guestie, Diane Jaquay, and this week’s guest star stamper, Vicki Dutcher.
