Happy Birthday, Kate!

*** Scroll down to the post below or click HERE to see my post for this week's Color Throwdown challenge! ***

Today is a very special day because it's Kate's birthday. And Kate happens to own and operate my favorite online store, i {heart} papers. To celebrate her, the design team is having a little blog hop to share our birthday cards and wishes.

Make a Wish card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
Here's my festive birthday card using this week's sketch from Retro Sketches. I made my own birthday hat from a hand-cut paper triangle that I dressed up with some pom pom trim and an enamel dot.  It's adhered to a confetti-like dotted paper panel stamped with a Paper Smooches birthday sentiment.  A few fun paper pennants tucked underneath the panel and a sprinkling of pink enamel dots finish off the design.

Be sure to hop along to each designer and leave these talented gals some love!
