Make a Wish

Here's my card for July's last Viva la Verve sketch.  I used Verve's Birthday Bash stamp set to make a fun birthday card.

Make a Wish card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve StampsThis sketch has a lot of layers, so it took me a while to find a combination of papers that worked for the sketch. I ended up using three different papers from a Fancy Pants paper pad.  The patterns are broken up a bit by the large round pale gray cardstock panel that's between two of the layers.

The top layer is the image panel--the pair of balloons from the Birthday Bash set, colored with Copic markers.  I stamped the set's "make a wish" sentiment next to the balloons and after matting it on red cardstock, I adhered it to the cardfront.  It's accented with a trio of light blue enamel dots to give the card a little dimension.

Materials Used:
Birthday Bash stamp set (Verve Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); The Good Life 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); circle die (Spellbinders); enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet)
