Scrappy Birthday

Here's my card for the current Deconstructed Sketch.  I used a bunch of scraps from a Simple Stories patterned paper pad and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn to put together this multilayered birthday design.

Happy Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI played around with a bunch of scraps from the paper pad before settling on the arrangement you see here.  The number patterned paper is perfect for a birthday card, isn't it?  Once the panels were in place on the kraft panel, I wrapped it with some hemp twine.

I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's So Much to Say stamp set on the blue honeycomb patterned paper using black pigment ink. To go with the celebratory sentiment, I die cut a star from gold paper and attached it over the twine using dimensional dots.  I tucked a pair of hand cut banner strips beneath the star, then added a trio of blue enamel dots to finish the design.
