Sparkle and Shine

Here's my card for the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I used the layout to create an out of season wintery design.

Sparkle and Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs
I used a sentiment from the Lil Inker Designs Winter Greetings stamp set as my focal image. It's stamped in Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink.  This is the first time I've tried the Delicata ink in silver and I love it!  I have the gold and use it a lot and I'm thrilled that it comes in silver now, too.  It's super sparkly and so pretty!  I matted the stamped panel with turquoise cardstock since I really like holiday season cards in non-traditional color palettes.

To surround the sentiment, I cut several snowflakes from silver paper, then cut each flake in half--I used scissors for that since the flakes are pretty delicate.  The flakes are adhered to the top and bottom of the sentiment panel.  Once I was happy with their placement, I adhered the panel to the light blue card base.

Materials Used:
Winter Greetings stamp set, snowflake die (Lil' Inker Designs); Delicata Silver ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Sea Glass and Aquamarine cardstock (Avery Elle); silver paper (Target); Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things)
