Vintage Summer Celebration

As promised, here's a second patriotic design for today's Independence Day holiday.  This one features one of the newest releases from The Cat's Pajamas, the Vintage Summer stamp set.  It also serves as my entry for this week's red, white, and blue themed blogger's challenge.  I threw a little kraft into the mix, too, but it's a neutral, right?

Celebrate card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from The Cat's PajamasI stamped the set's large silhouette image in navy ink on a white panel, then cut out the stamped image using the matching die from the CutUps Framed Up set.  The image was paired with two different patterned papers from an Authentique paper pad with an Americana theme.  After arranging the panels and a piece of a white paper doily on a kraft card base, I did a little zig zag stitching with my sewing machine before adding the stamped image on top using foam tape.  I finished the design with a pretty antique looking crystal flourish tucked underneath the image panel.

Hope you have a great holiday with family and friends!  Since Chloe the cutie puppy is very frightened of fireworks, we'll be spending the night at home with the TV blaring to cover the popping sound and Chloe decked out in her Thundershirt to help keep her calm.
