Hello Sunshine

Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge.  My design incorporates elements that are pretty close to those in Bev's original design, but I added a little twist to make the design my own.

Hello Sunshine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking AloudI started out by die cutting a stitched photo frame from white cardstock.  The opening in the frame was backed with a blue dotted patterned paper panel along with a piece of an orange pinking edged circle "sun."  I adhered the frame to an orange cardstock panel, tilting it on an angle, then topping it with a die cut "hello."  Now my card says "hello sunshine," right?

I edged the orange panel with a narrow strip of navy cardstock to match the die cut word, then added a strip of the same patterned paper I used inside the photo frame.  The panel was adhered to a white card base.  For a final pop of color, I arranged a trio of yellow-orange enamel dots around the cardfront.

Materials Used:
Scripty Hello die (Lawn Fawn); Stitched Frame die (Lil' Inker Designs); pinking circle die (Spellbinders); Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Collecting Moments 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); orange enamel dots (Freckled Fawn); foam tape

  1. Love the way you carried the patterned paper over from the focal point to an accent strip. And the enamel dots add that little something. Very nice!
