Make a Wish

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge.  I used the newest Blueprints dies to make this bold birthday card.

Make a Wish card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I built the card on a navy card base.  The card base was topped by a red cardstock panel with a stitched circle cut out of the lower right corner.  I adhered a navy panel diagonally across the top half of the panel, then added a red cardstock strip stamped with the "make a wish" sentiment from the Birthday Chalkboard Greetings set in gold ink.

The round opening was filled in with a die cut star.  The star was cut from both red and gold cardstock.  I adhered the red outline die cut directly to the navy cardstock, then used foam tape to adhere the gold star inside the outline.

Materials Used:
Birthday Chalkboard Greetings stamp set, Electric Red cardstock, Die-namics Blueprints 18 dies (My Favorite Things); Delicata Golden Glitz ink (Tsukineko); Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); corner rounder; foam tape

  2. Lori, this is wonderful! Love the colors and the gold sentiment! Really makes that sentiment pop! Hope school is going great! I started back 2 weeks ago! By the end of the day I am dragging! LOL! Takes a while to get back into the swing of things after a summer break!
