Storybook Wishes

I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch along with stamps and dies from Avery Elle to create this sweet design.  The animals from the Storybook set are just adorable!  I've used the bunny image a few times, so for this card I decided to use the set's deer image.

Storybook Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery Elle
The image was stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the matching die.  I used dimensional dots to set the deer over a piece of patterned paper with a green grass border punched strip along the bottom.  The set's "make a wish" sentiment was stamped at the top of the patterned paper panel in black pigment ink.

After matting the patterned paper on a blue cardstock panel, I adhered it over a kraft panel at the top of a light blue card base.  I tucked a pair of fishtail flag strips underneath the image panel to finish the card.
