The Challenge 12-Oh Happy Day

We're back with another edition of The Challenge!  The new challenge features both a sketch and a color combination. You can choose to play along with just one or with both.  My intent was to use both, but I think I strayed a little bit from the sketch . . .

Oh Happy Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I die cut a trio of different sized butterflies using the stitched butterfly die from Lil' Inker Designs and some cardstock scraps.  The butterflies were arranged on an aqua card base.  I only adhered them at the center so I could gently fold the wings back for dimension.  Once they were in place, I scattered a few teal sequins around them.  The "oh happy day" sentiment from the Sun Sentiments set was stamped beneath the butterflies in aquamarine ink.  I adhered the finished panel to a teal card base.

Don't miss what the rest of the team has created for this week's challenge.  Here's where to find them:

Lesley Croghan, challenge owner/creator
Jeanne Jachna
Kimberly Wiener

Materials Used:
Sun Sentiments stamp set, stitched butterfly dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); Orange Zest, Harvest Gold Aqua Mist, and Tropical Teal cardstock (Papertrey Ink); teal sequins (Michaels)
