Whale, Hello There

With Labor Day marking the unofficial end to the summer season, I thought I'd squeeze in (at least) one more summery design.  This one uses the Seaside Sentiments set from Clear and Simple Stamps and the current Mojo Monday sketch.

Whale, Hello There card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Clear and Simple Stamps
I used the sketch's oval panel to make a simple scene using the set's whale image.  It's stamped in blue ink and adhered to an oval panel using foam tape.  For added dimension, I dotted the whale's eye with a Gray Flannel irRESISTible Pico Embellisher.

I layered the oval on a kraft panel, then set it on a narrow white card base covered with a pair of blue panels.  For contrast, I ran a strip of red cardstock across the cardfront, just underneath the whale image.  The "whale, hello there" sentiment was stamped on the strip in black ink.  It's accented with a navy button tied with a piece of red baker's twine.

Materials Used:
Seaside Sentiments 1 stamp set, Simply Blue-tiful, You're Such a Gray-cious Host and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, True Blue Fan, My Favorite Blue Jeans, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Kraft Like a Rockstar, and A Blanc Check cardstock, True Blue Fan button, red baker's twine (Clear and Simple Stamps); irRESISTible Gray Flannel Pico Embellisher (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); oval die (Spellbinders); foam tape
