You, Me, and the Sea

Here's my card for the current "tropical trip" themed Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  I took my inspiration from the photo's wood plank background panel and the trio of colorful smaller signs arranged on top of the panel.

You, Me, and the Sea card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps
For my version, I started off with a piece of woodgrain patterned paper.  I did a little creative die cutting with one of the Favor Flags dies from Clear and Simple Stamps to create a trio of short double ended fishtail flag strips.  A portion of the "you, me, and the sea" sentiment from the Seaside Sentiments 2 set was stamped in black ink on each of the strips.  I arranged them in order near the bottom of the patterned paper panel.  To go with the sweet words, I added a pair of red die cut hearts to the left of the word strips and accented them with a cream enamel dot.

Materials Used:
Seaside Sentiments 2 stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, Dare to Be a Diva Red, My Favorite Blue Jeans, My Style Blueprint, and Pressed Greige Linen cardstock, Favor Flags, Build a Critter Cat/Owl and Shapes:  Hearts dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Miss Caroline-Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); cream enamel dot (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
