Color Throwdown 310-Wherever You Go

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  This week's hostess is Wanda and she's chosen a really pretty color palette inspired by a trio of layered paper flowers.  I used the colors along with the current sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog to put his card together.

Wherever You Go card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse ConfettiI used the large section of the cardfront to make a simple scene featuring the airplane from Reverse Confetti's Away We Go set.  The plane was stamped in white ink on a piece of melon cardstock, then heat embossed and cut out with the matching die.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the blue panel, then added a bunch of fluffy white felt clouds around it.  To fill in the scene, I adhered a diecut strip of green cardstock along the bottom of the panel to make a hillside, then stamped a sentiment above it.  I edged the panel with a narrow green strip, then adhered it to a melon card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD310. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our September guestie, Lisa Henke, and this week’s guest star stamper, Joanne James.
