You're Never Too Old

It's time for another TCP Tuesday challenge!  The theme for the next two weeks is anything goes, so there's no excuse to not play along!  I put together this fun card using the current Deconstructed Sketch to mark a very special occasion--Bev's birthday! I'm joining a bunch of other bloggers in celebrating Bev's special day.  You can find all the details--and links to the cards--here.

You're Never Too Old to Do Goofy Things card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's Pajamas
I used TCP's Dots die to make my own stencil to create the polka dotted background you see here.  I was going to use embossing paste, but in the end went with some blue distress ink instead.  The dots are topped with a smaller panel with the bubble blowing penguin from the Bubbles Happen set.  I filled in the big bubble with some Stickles, then added a few silver sequin "bubbles" around the image.  The set's "you're never too old to do goofy things" sentiment was stamped on a turquoise strip that I tucked just underneath the penguin. After adding a pair of tiny silver tabs made with TCP's CutUps Easy Rosette die, I used foam tape to adhere the image to the stenciled panel.

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge. Link up your finished project on the TCP blog for a chance to win this week's Cat Cash prize--and to be in the running to be our next Swanky Stamper.   The Swanky Stamper is selected from among all of the month's challenge entries and gets a selection of stamps from an upcoming release and joins the Cat Pack for our Pajama Party and Blog Hop. You can find all the details on the TCP blog.
