I Love You to the Moon

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Designer Draft challenge.  I used the sketch to put together this sweet space themed design.

Love You to the Moon card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I made the large round panel into a moon in a starry sky. My moon is yellow cardstock, debossed with large polka dot "craters."  The starry background is actually snowy patterned paper from a winter paper collection.  Works great as stars, too, doesn't it?  I accented the moon with the rocket image from the Space Cadet set.  It's set over the moon with dimensional dots.

The patterned paper panels and moon were adhered to a red cardstock panel, then layered on to a blue card base. The "I love you to the moon" sentiment from the Cosmos set was stamped at the bottom of the cardfront in white pigment ink, then heat embossed in white pearl embossing powder.  This embossing powder gives a nice shine to the words--perfect for a space themed design!
