Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 239-Be Jolly

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  I made a wintery design using this week's sketch.  It's definitely not too early to be thinking about holiday cards, is it?

Be Jolly card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery Elle
I used the new Be Jolly stamp set and matching die from Avery Elle for my card.  I made a simple scene on the sketch's large panel.  The scene was built on a piece of star patterned paper with a strip of shimmery white cardstock along the bottom.  I stamped the snowman image on the same shimmery white paper, then used Copic markers to color it in before cutting it out with the matching die. The snowman was attached to the scene using dimensional dots.  I stamped the set's "be jolly" sentiment next to the image in black ink.

After matting the scene on matching turquoise cardstock, I adhered it to a kraft card base over a red cardstock panel. To bring in a bit more red, I added a red fishtail flag strip to the right side of the card, overlapping the top edge of the image panel.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
