Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 241-Friends Are Life's Nicest Perks

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  This week's' sketch calls for a square card and I created a 4 1/4" square coffee themed card based on the sketch.

Friends Are Life's Nicest Perks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps
I started out with a feminine floral patterned paper adhered to a coordinating gray card base.  The "friends are life's nicest perks" sentiment from the Clear and Simple Stamps A Little Java set was stamped on a golden yellow cardstock panel in gray ink, then adhered to the patterned paper panel.

I stamped one of the set's coffee pot images on a matching die cut using silver ink, then used foam tape to adhere it to a pair of layered circles.  The image was adhered to the top of the golden yellow panel.  For a bit more silver sparkle, I die cut a narrow Favor Flags strip from silver cardstock, cut it in half, and tucked the pieces underneath the left edge of the yellow panel.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
