Happy Turkey Day

I couldn't let today pass without wishing all of you a very happy Thanksgiving!  I'm so thankful for all of you who stop by Inking Aloud!  The past 9 months or so have been pretty challenging for me, with lots of unexpected change followed by a new beginning and I'll admit that I've been struggling a bit.  I'm thankful that I have cardmaking and crafting as a little retreat to clear my head when I need a break!

Happy Turkey Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I put together this simple Thanksgiving card inspired by the current sketch at The Paper Players.  The turkey's from Lawn Fawn's Turkey Day set. I colored him with Copic markers and used dimensional dots to attach him to a round panel.  The image was adhered to a fun triangle patterned paper panel on a kraft card base. The vibrant colors aren't exactly traditional for fall, but they work nicely with the turkey image.  I added some texture to the panel with a piece of orange faux suede ribbon tied with some brown twine.  The "happy turkey day" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in black ink.

If you're celebrating today, I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends!
