Be Jolly, By Golly

Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating today!  I'm spreading a little holiday cheer (and sharing a good deal!) with this card using stamps from The Cat's Pajamas.

Be Jolly By Golly card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's Pajamas
I used the penguins from the Peace, Joy, and Penguins set on this one.  The penguins were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink (my favorite for getting images with bold, black lines like these penguins to look great!), then colored a bit with Copic markers.  I paired the penguins with two festive patterned papers from a Doodlebug Design paper pad.  Some contrasting green cardstock matting the panels helps to set off the image and adds to the festive feel.

I stamped the set's "be jolly, by golly" sentiment on a matching green strip and used a little machine stitching to anchor it on the panel.  A few silver sequins scattered around the card give the design a wintery sparkle.  I adhered the finished panel to a kraft card base, matching the kraft colored gift wrap on one of the penguin's presents.

If you've been wanting to get your hands on some of TCP's penguins or the big-eared bunny (my personal favorite!), now is a great time to do so.  TCP is having a big year end sale starting tomorrow (December 26) and running through December 31. Everything on the site (in stock only) will be 30% off.  The super generous Miss Meowy herself, Alma, has given the Cat Pack a special code to share with our readers for even more savings.  Use the code mews14 to get an extra 10% off, bringing your savings to 40%.  Happy shopping!
