Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 250-Orange You Glad

After a short winter break, we're back with a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  This week's sketch (#250!) has a large panel that's perfect for a big sentiment, a stamped scene, or any combination of elements.

I used the Fresh 'N Fruity set from Reverse Confetti for my card.  I stamped and die cut two oranges, then arranged them at the bottom of a white panel.  For a little contrasting color, I added dotted green leaves to each one.  The "orange you glad" sentiment was stamped at the top of the panel in brown pigment ink.

I matted the panel on a piece of red-orange cardstock, then layered it on an orange patterned paper panel with a strip of brown grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the right side.  I used the fishtail flag strip from RC's Tag Me die set to cut a kraft strip.  After cutting the strip in half, I tucked the pieces underneath the right edge of the image panel.  The finished piece was adhered to a kraft card base.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
