Happy Bird-Day

Here's my card for this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try.  This is the first time I've inked up the new to me Fabulous Flamingo set--love it!

Happy Bird-Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse ConfettiI stamped the flamingo body and wing in pink pigment ink, then added the eye and bill in gray pigment ink.  I used foam tape to adhere the pieces to a white cardstock panel over the leg image I'd stamped in gray ink.  The "happy bird-day" sentiment was stamped to the left of the bird in pink ink.

To go with the pink bird, I found some fun pink chevron patterned paper.  After layering the patterned paper on a rose cardstock mat, I added a solid rose cardstock strip to the left side, then placed the image panel on top.  I used RC's Tag Me dies to cut a pale pink fishtail flag strip.  After wrapping the strip with rose baker's twine, I added it on top of the image panel.  The finished panel was adhered to a pale pink card base to match the flamingo.

Materials Used:
